Hello, I’m Julie WANG.
I paint the little things and how they make me feel.
A cat, a treasured object, a memory. I paint them in my own colours and sometimes let the shapes tell the rest.
It starts with a closer look.
My colours tell you how I feel.
I pause over a detail, a familiar presence or a patch of light. Then I paint it in my own way, moving between recognisable shapes and freer brushstrokes.
I love the way a painting can move you like a song. Without explaining everything, it brings back a memory or a feeling.
