Art and language, explored together

Colour as a way to express yourself

I encourage your child to experiment, recognise their feelings and create in their own way. No previous experience is needed.

Try, explore, create

With coloured pencils, wax crayons, watercolours or acrylics, your child can explore colour and create freely.

Express feelings

As children choose and mix colours, painting gives them a way to express how they feel.

Hear and speak Mandarin

During the lesson, I also introduce colours and objects in Mandarin. Your child gets to know the language through simple words and phrases.

Julie WANG, an artist with a love of languages

  • I’m an artist based in France. I paint everyday things and feelings, and encourage children to find their own way of expressing themselves.
  • I hold a master’s degree in Applied Foreign Languages, specialising in Chinese, English and French. I also have several years of experience managing cross-cultural projects and working in international communications.
  • Mandarin is my first language, and I have experience teaching Chinese in an academic setting.

I come to your home within a 20-minute drive of Montfort-l’Amaury (78490). Travel is included. Your address is checked before you choose your lessons.

Addresses and driving times are checked using IGN mapping services. Estimates do not include live traffic.

You can choose several lessons for the same child. Booked times are greyed out. All times are local to Paris.

I’ll email you the practical details. Your phone number lets me reach you if needed on the day of the lesson.

A few useful details

Does my child need to know how to draw or speak Mandarin?

No previous experience is needed. Lessons are for children aged 7 to 12, and I adapt to their interests and pace.

What should we prepare at home?

A space where your child can comfortably draw and paint. I bring the materials; they are welcome to use their own pencils or pastels too.

What if I need to change a booking?
