About me
I am Julie Wang, a Chinese painter living in France, based in Montfort-l’Amaury, near Paris.
I mainly paint in oil, inspired by the little things of everyday life and ordinary emotions. I believe that beautiful emotions do not need grand narratives: they are often found in a familiar animal, a soft light, a simple object, or a moment that one observes attentively.
With my colors, I like to give these ordinary details a joyful, tender, and sensitive presence. My paintings invite you to slow down, to look differently, and to find a little sweetness in everyday life.
