My artistic approach is rooted in a quest for inner freedom and a return to essential emotion.
After a prolonged period of detachment from myself and from creation, painting has emerged as a necessary space: a place of slowness, listening, and reconciliation with what remains sensitive.
I work primarily with oil, a medium that allows me to explore the depth of color, the temporality of gesture, and the emotional density of the material. The slow drying time, superpositions, and reworkings are an integral part of the process. My approach is intuitive: color often precedes form, and the movement of the brush follows an organic rhythm rather than a predetermined construction.
My works originate from simple everyday elements. The sources are not narrative, but anchored in ordinary experiences: animals, landscapes, natural light, moments of calm, and subtle emotions that circulate between beings. These motifs become a silent language, capable of crossing cultural and intellectual boundaries, and resonating with the viewer's intimate experience.
Each canvas is conceived as an open space. It does not seek to impose a meaning, but to offer a moment of pause, breathing, and personal projection. The gaze is invited to linger freely, to recognize a diffuse emotion, a form of familiarity or comfort, without being guided or constrained.
My work advocates for a voluntary simplicity. I seek neither formal demonstration nor expressive overload, but a just balance between color, light, and composition, where emotion can appear with restraint and sincerity. If a form of gentleness or calm emerges, it is never demonstrative: it appears as a possibility, that of letting things be, without adjustment.
Through different series, I continue this exploration today. This progressive research aims to build a coherent visual language, faithful to a sensitive, silent, and deeply inhabited painting.
